They are giving away $30 million worth of prizes from cash to cars to vacations. Apparently there are certain game pieces that are common and some that are rare. I found this list that shows which pieces are the ones that are hard to get: http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3493121
It looks like the odds of winning even the small prizes are rare, but I think I will still continue to collect them for fun and who knows, maybe I'll win something.
Anyone else playing this game? Have you won anything yet? The game goes through February so there is still a lot of time to collect and win.

ReplyDeleteThe labor involved to tear these game pieces apart only to throw 99.9% of them in the garbage (along with the useless 25 cents coupons) is a frivolous waste of time. Jewel shoulda just donated the prize money they set aside for this silly contest to a needy charity.

DeleteIt is time consuming to pull apart all the pieces and stick them onto the board. Instant Winners might have been easier, but not as fun. I have won a couple free donuts, but no big prizes yet.

Obviously this game is to promote sales and no other reasons. There is some folks winning, but the traffic that this game has brought in for the company is astronomical. but this site is funny. Has anyone spoken to the associates at Jewel Osco about their game pieces? I noticed a cashier giving someone a red piece and she told me it was for the workers and then went on to tell me the prizes won by workers at the store including a camera and $2 or $5. I think its wrong to have a customer game and associate game going on at the same time, especially when I know no one who has one on my side of the bridge!
ReplyDeleteThey have a similar game going on for the employees, but the pieces are different. You could imagine how it might be easy for the employees to cheat since they have access to the pieces, I think that is why they have a separate game.
